Millcreek Canyon

This is an exceptional area to get out of the valley and up into the Wasatch Front. This area is popular amongst backcountry skiers, hunters, campers, and hikers. With its close proximity and dog-friendly atmosphere (dogs only allowed on even-numbered days). The summertime scenery can’t be beat!

Mount Olympus

Mount Olympus is a 9,026 foot peak on the east side of the Salt Lake Valley. It’s 7.5 miles from the trailhead to the top. There’s roughly 4,100 feet of elevation gain over the course of 3.5 miles. The top of the mountain is federally protected so make sure to tread lightly. The trail itself is wide and easy to follow, but make no mistake it’s a tough hike.
