Staging Your Home Before Selling
The first obstacle to getting someone to buy your home is getting them through the front door. Your curb appeal or home presentation might have caught the buyer’s interest and they scheduled an appointment to take a tour. Once an interested buyer walks through the door, the next challenge is getting them to stay. That’s why staging your home is so important.
Staging Your Home
The buyers arrive, they walk into a beautiful home that’s just been remodelled, well-taken care of, and what if there’s no furniture? Do you think this might be a red flag if you’re a buyer? Are they starting off on the wrong note? How do you think this will affect their experience?
Some buyers might like the empty space because they have intentions on bringing in their own furniture. Most buyers, from our experience, love to see how the furniture fits in the room. How does the couch look in this part of the living room? How does the dining room table look next to this wall? Do the paintings or pictures on the wall take up enough space? Maybe too much?
Having a fully decorated home helps buyers visualize, they might like to feel around. What I’m trying to get at is a buyer is sizing up your interior to their own ideas of interior design. Make sure your home is realistically decorated, not overdone and allows the buyer to really get a feel for what your home truly has to offer.
We highly recommend bringing in a stager. Someone who is going to make your home look incredible for those buyers. Home stagers will position your home to get top dollar with multiple offers and quickly as possible. This is especially important if like the example above, are missing furniture or lacking decorative pieces. Utah’s Best Real Estate Group has excellent home stagers that can fill the gaps in your current interior design, rearrange your current design plan to make sure it’s ideal.
Home staging can be very effective in getting your home sold quickly and for top dollar. It’s the little things that can end up making a huge difference. A buyer is going to be very picky considering the magnitude of the decision.
